Hello! I'm EugeneWriter and Blogger
Welcome. I’m Eugene C. Scott, a writer and story-teller. And this is my blog.
Eugene lives in the lee of the Rocky Mountains in Littleton, CO. He enjoys coffee and reading (usually taken together), aspen groves (especially with elk in them), metaphors, merino wool socks (which may be a metaphor), watches, archery, hamburgers, conversation, photography, hunting and fishing, talking about writing, thinking about writing, and actually writing. More than anything though, he is smitten with his wife, kids, grandkids, friends, and God.
His short story “Last Rites” was published in Bugle Magazine. He has had several poems published, most recently in “The Edge of Faith,” an online journal. He is shopping his two novels. He has been published in Christianity Today, The Vail Daily, several other magazines and journals, and many blogs. He co-wrote the lyrics to “Love Like You,” a song on Cliff Hutchison’s The Old Chapel Record.
Eugene has worked as a landscaper, roofer, carpenter, sailor, barista, and nonprofit director but has spent most of his life as a pastor, mentor, and teacher. He is currently Executive Pastor at Wellspring Church in Englewood, CO. He graduated from Colorado University in Denver with a degree in psychology, Denver Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
